Kanawa Island (Pulau Kanawa) the Hidden Paradise

Kanawa Island is a small island located about 10 km from Labuan Bajo, the gate to Komodo Island. If you want to visit the island of Komodo, we must pass this island. Kanawa Island is perfect for relaxing, sunbathing or snorkeling and diving.

Kanawa's underwater is very charming. We need not look too far to see where snorkeling reef, coral, turtles, starfish, and various other types of sea anemones. Just about 10 meters from the beach we can find all the beauty of it. 

 On the right side of this island is still a remaining red algae that make Kanawa Island is a quick look pink. More pink beach we can also meet on Komodo Island with a more reddish color due to the many shards of coral red sand beaches.

If you want to go to Kanawa Island, you can use shuttle boat that ususally prepared by resort management to the tourists from Labuan Bajo. To bring guests from Labuan Bajo boats available at 12.00 local time and to deliver back to Labuan Bajo from Kanawa Island at 08.00 local time. However, if we want a more flexible we can rent a boat for Rp250.000, 00. To reach this island we only need 1 hour trip.

On the Kanawa island there are 13 cottages with minimalist design but very romantic. The price for a standard room ranges Rp300.000, 00. In each room there is a mosquito net and a hammock. as well as for the bathrooms have a semi open bathroom concept.

Supplies electricity and clean water on Kanawa Island is still very limited. Where is the water filling there is only one time, which is around 16:00. And, for electricity affairs can only live from 18:00 until 23:00. However, with the 'limitation' is in the middle of the night we can see the beauty Stargazing (constellations) as the island is really dark.

 

Not only inn, there is also a restaurant Starfish and PADI diving center at Kanawa Island. Merely recommendations food at Starfish restaurant is managed directly by the resort.
